Lacrosse

Lacrosse is a team sport played by two teams of ten; three defenders, three midfielders, three atackmen, and a goalie. It was a game created by Native Americans and was discovered by europeans in the late 1600's. The game in those times could be played over miles of terrain by teams that consisted of thousands of men. Back then the sticks were made of one piece of wood and the ball of stone, deer hide, or wood. however today the sticks are made from a large range of materials from wood to metals and synthetic composite materials. The ball is made of rubber; The field is roughly the size of a football field and the goals are 6' x 6'.
